This Privacy Policy applies to visitors who browse Oltta, registered members who create or manage advertisements, reviewers, advertisers, and individuals who contact us through forms or other available communication channels.

The policy explains the types of information we may collect, how that information is obtained, why we use it, when it may be shared, how long it may be retained, and the choices that may be available to you.

Oltta is strictly intended for individuals aged 18 years or older. By accessing or using the platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.

Individuals below 18 years of age must not access, register with, browse, or otherwise use Oltta.

Since Oltta is a classified-advertising platform, information that an advertiser voluntarily places in a publicly visible listing may become accessible to other visitors.

Users should therefore publish only information that they are comfortable making publicly available.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that is reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Oltta platform.

Account information. When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, optional mobile number, gender, country, account status, and information relating to your available coins or credits.

Your password is not stored in plain text. Passwords are protected using a one-way hashing mechanism so that the original password cannot be directly retrieved from our database.

Advertisement information. When you create or manage an advertisement, we may store information including the title, description, category, location, state, city, area, ZIP or postal code, address information, and other listing fields that you choose to provide.

Advertisement information may also include age, nickname, email address, mobile number, WhatsApp indicator, Telegram handle, and photographs uploaded by you.

The information visible to visitors may depend on the advertisement package selected by the advertiser.

Coins and payment information. Oltta may provide an account-based coin or credit system that can be used for certain paid services, including advertisement boosts.

We maintain records of coin purchases and transactions, including order references, transaction amounts, credits added, and credits used.

Oltta does not directly store card numbers, CVV numbers, card expiry dates, UPI credentials, or bank-account details. Payments are processed by an external payment service provider.

We may receive limited transaction information such as an order reference, payment reference, and payment status.

Technical information. We keep technical information to a limited extent. We do not intentionally maintain browser user-agent information or device fingerprints as part of our ordinary user database.

An IP address may be recorded when you submit a public review for security and spam-prevention purposes. Cloudflare Turnstile may also process your IP address when an anti-bot verification is performed.

Cookies and browser storage. We use a limited number of cookies and browser storage technologies to support login sessions, security features, preferences, and basic website functionality.

Messages and submissions. When you contact us, report an advertisement, or submit a review, we may retain the information included in your submission.

This may include your name, email address, subject, message, review rating, review text, and selected city or state.

Information we do not collect. We do not request government-issued identity documents such as Aadhaar, PAN, passport, or driving licence for ordinary account registration.

We also do not intentionally collect biometric information such as fingerprints, facial scans, or biometric selfies.

The 18+ requirement is handled through an age self-declaration process rather than routine identity-document verification.

3. How We Collect It

Information may be collected through the following methods:

• Directly from you when you register, create or edit an advertisement, purchase coins, boost a listing, submit a review, report content, or contact us.
• Through essential technologies such as cookies and browser storage required for login, security, and basic preferences.
• Through security services such as Cloudflare Turnstile when anti-bot verification is required.
• Through analytics technologies used to understand general website usage and improve the platform.

If you provide information relating to another individual, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary permission or lawful basis to provide that information.

4. How and Why We Use It

We may use collected information for the following purposes:

• Account management: To create and maintain accounts, authenticate users, maintain sessions, and provide account-management functionality.
• Advertisement services: To publish listings, display relevant advertisement information, and provide paid placement or boosting services.
• Coin management: To record purchases, maintain credit balances, and deduct credits when applicable services are used.
• Security and abuse prevention: To identify spam, duplicate listings, automated abuse, suspicious activity, and violations of our policies.
• Content moderation: To investigate reports, review complaints, moderate reviews, and restrict content or accounts that violate our rules.
• Customer support: To respond to enquiries, complaints, reports, and other requests submitted to us.
• Service communications: To send account-related, transactional, operational, and security-related communications.
• Re-engagement communications: We may contact inactive registered users about returning to or using the platform. Such emails include an unsubscribe option.
• Analytics and improvement: To understand general usage patterns and improve the functionality, performance, and user experience of Oltta.
• Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests, protect our rights, and establish or defend legal claims.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We aim to keep the use of cookies and similar technologies limited to what is reasonably required for the operation, security, and improvement of the platform.

• Essential cookies: First-party session and security cookies may be used to maintain login sessions and protect website forms.
• Cloudflare Turnstile: Certain forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated bots. Cloudflare may process technical information, including IP addresses, for this purpose.
• Cloudflare network services: Because the website may be delivered through Cloudflare infrastructure, Cloudflare may process limited technical information required for security and network performance.
• Google Analytics: We may use Google Analytics 4 to understand general website usage and improve our services.
• Browser local storage: The website may store limited preference information in your browser, including the 18+ age-gate preference and selected favourite or recently viewed advertisements.

We do not intentionally use advertising pixels or unrelated third-party tracking networks for behavioral advertising.

6. Public Nature of Ad Content

Classified advertisements are designed to be viewed by other users. Therefore, information voluntarily included in a publicly visible advertisement may become accessible to visitors.

The information displayed may vary depending on the advertisement package selected.

• Basic / Free ads: The public listing may display the advertisement title and description. The uploaded photograph and contact information are not publicly displayed on a Basic listing.
• Top ads: The advertisement may additionally display the uploaded photograph, while contact information remains hidden.
• Top Premium ads: The advertisement may display the uploaded photograph together with Call, WhatsApp, and Telegram contact options when those details have been provided.

Please publish only information that you are comfortable making publicly available.

Where contact details are displayed, communication initiated through those details occurs directly between the users involved.

Oltta does not control private communications between users and is not responsible for information voluntarily exchanged between them.

You may edit or delete your advertisement while your account and the relevant functionality remain active.

7. When We Share Data

Oltta does not sell your personal information to third parties.

Information may be shared where reasonably necessary to operate the platform, provide requested services, maintain security, or comply with applicable law.

• Payment providers: Information required to process purchases of coins or other paid services.
• Cloudflare: For content delivery, network security, anti-bot verification, and related infrastructure services.
• Hosting and email providers: Providers responsible for hosting the platform, storing required information, or delivering service emails.
• Analytics providers: Such as Google Analytics, for understanding general website usage and improving the platform.
• Authorities and legal processes: Where disclosure is required by applicable law, court order, lawful government request, law-enforcement requirement, or where reasonably necessary to protect users, public safety, or our legal rights.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide our services, maintain security, resolve disputes, satisfy accounting requirements, or comply with applicable law.

• Advertisements: Free advertisements may remain active for approximately 180 days unless they are removed, suspended, or restricted earlier. Paid promotional services remain active for the applicable purchased duration.
• Advertisement deletion: When an advertisement is deleted, its listing information, photographs, and related operational records may be removed from active systems, subject to information that must be retained for legal, security, accounting, or dispute-related purposes.
• Account deletion: When an account is deleted, associated advertisements and photographs may also be removed, subject to applicable retention requirements.
• Reported or suspended content: Content or accounts reported for abuse or suspected violations may be hidden or restricted. Related information may be retained when necessary for moderation, security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
• Operational records: Coin transactions, payment references, reports, reviews, support requests, and similar records may be retained for accounting, security, moderation, dispute handling, or legal purposes.

9. How We Keep Data Secure

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, loss, or disclosure.

• Website traffic is protected through HTTPS encryption.
• Authentication sessions and security cookies are handled using appropriate security controls.
• Passwords are protected using one-way password hashing and are not stored in readable form.
• Cloud-based network protection and anti-bot technologies help protect the platform from automated abuse.
• Access to stored information is restricted to systems and personnel who require it for legitimate operational purposes.

Although we take reasonable steps to protect information, no online platform or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential. We recommend using a strong, unique password and avoiding reuse of passwords across different services.

Many account and advertisement details can be updated directly from your account.

For privacy-related requests, we may need to reasonably verify your identity before processing the request. Requests will be handled within the timeframe required by applicable law.

11. Children and Under-18 Users

Oltta is strictly intended for individuals aged 18 years and above.

Anyone below 18 years of age must not register, publish advertisements, browse, or otherwise use the platform.

Access to the website is subject to an 18+ self- declaration mechanism. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from individuals under 18.

If we become aware that information belonging to an individual under 18 has been submitted to us, we will take reasonable steps to review and remove such information where appropriate.

If you believe that an under-18 individual has provided personal information to Oltta, please contact us promptly.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, security measures, or applicable laws.

When changes are made, we will update the "Last updated" date displayed at the beginning of this page.
